Sindh CM discuss power load-shedding in Karachi with K-Electric

K-Electric officials met Chief Minister of Sindh on Friday here and discussed the measures to end power load-shedding in the metropolis. Chief Secretary of Sindh, Commissioner Karachi were present in the meeting with the CEO K-Electric and other officials.

Chief Minister Shah stated that rainfall in Karachi became a nuisance instead of a blessing as the citizens had to face prolonged power outages.

The power utility officials briefed the chief minister about the issues being faced by the power generation company and highlighted the issue of non-payment of electricity bills.

They pointed out that the metropolis is facing power deficit of 421 megawatts. The K-Electric officials stated that the company will invest over Rs. two billion for power generation and distribution.
