CNG Association, Transport Union announce strike for indefinite period
KARACHI: CNG Association and Transport Union have announced strike for indefinite period of time against the shutdown of gas, ARY News reported.
Vice Chairman of CNG Association Ahmed Ali condemned the closure of CNG for four days in week by saying that “This has became an hectic, as transporters, consumers and owners of CNG stations has been facing many difficulties due to closure and low pressure.”
He announced to that CNG stations will remain close from January 5 for indefinite time period until the approval of CNG Association’s demands.
Ahmed Ali told that the talks with Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) wasn’t positive, that led to take the decision for launching strike.
Chairman of Transport Union, Irshad Bukhari has also announced to support the strike. He said that high price of petrol and shutdown of CNG made it difficult to carry on transportation system smoothly.
