KARACHI: Chief of the Naval Staff International Squash Championship will start from December 16, 2013 at Roshan Khan Jahangir Khan Squash Complex, Karachi, ARY News reported on Friday.
While addressing a press conference, director of the tournament, Commandant PNS Karsaz Commodore Saeed Ahmed said that qualifying rounds would be played from December16 to19; main rounds on December 20 while the final on December 20.
Saeed Ahmed said that Pakistan Navy has been passionately working to promote sports events in the country.
In this respect several competitions of sailing, shooting and golf have already been conducted in order to discover new talent.
The prize money for the championship is worth US $ 15000 and some top ranked national players are will participate in the event while foreign players are not taking part in the championship due to law and order situation of the country.
