LAHORE: Outgoing Army Chief General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani announced that the families of Pakistan Army martyrs will be provided flats in the Defense Housing Authority (DHA) Lahore, ARY News reports on Tuesday.
The announcement was made as the Army Chief was addressing the ceremony of Junior Commissioned Officers (JCOs) House Insurance Scheme. The COAS said that each of the martyrs’ families would be provided a house. At first, the scheme was available for the military only, but later it was extended to the soldiers killed on duty in Azad Kashmir.
The family of every soldier that was killed on duty will be eligible for the housing scheme, he added.
Moreover, General Kayani distributed the keys of the house to the families of the martyred soldiers during the ceremony
