COAS, Interior Minister separately call on PM Nawaz

ISLAMABAD: Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif called on Prime Minister Mian Mohammad Nawaz Sharif in Prime Minster (PM) House, Islamabad on Wednesday, ARY News reported.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister and Army Chief discussed issues related to ongoing military operation Zarb-e-Azb in North Wazirstan and Internally Displaced Person (IDPs). Gen. Raheel Sharif briefed Nawaz Sharif about progress so far made in the operation.

On the occasion, PM Nawaz said officers of armed forces are rendering great sacrifices for the betterment of the country and battling a war for better future of Pakistan. He said their sacrifices are unprecedented.

The Prime Minister said that peace and stability is our destiny.

Nawaz Sharif reiterated resolve of the Government to provide all possible resources for look after and rehabilitation of people affected by the operation.

Earlier the day, federal Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan also called on Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif. They discussed overall law and order situation including Zarb-eAzb operation.
