KARACHI: Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Raheel Sharif has met the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Nawaz Sharif and briefed him about the overall security situation of the country – ARY News reports.
According to details, it was detailed meeting, during which the Army Chief, General Raheel Sharif briefed the Prime Minister about the security situation in Karachi, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and FATA.
He also informed the PM Nawaz about the details of a land mine attack on forces' convoy in North Waziristan tribal region, which claimed the lives of 9 soldiers and scores of others were injured.
The Army Chief told the Prime Minister how the miscreants are violating the ceasefire and attacking forces.
On this occasion, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif told that attacks on security forces will not be tolerated at all.
He said that the security personnel have rendered great sacrifices, who secured the nation and the state by offering their lives.
