General Raheel Sharif attended a dinner reception in his honor given by the US State Department where he met the US Secretary of State John Kerry.
In the meeting, the Pakistani military chief presented his country’s viewpoint on the evacuation of US forces from Afghanistan. He said that ending terrorism and permanent peace in the region is the first priority of Pakistan Army.
Kerry has said that United States will ensure its cooperation in cordial ties between Pakistan and Afghanistan.
He also lauded the efforts and sacrifices of Pakistan in the war against terrorism.
