COAS visits IDPs, soldiers in NWA on Eid day

Army Chief General Raheel Sharif also met the soldiers who are fighting the militants in North Waziristan. He expressed his full satisfaction over the ongoing military operation in the tribal areas.

General Raheel Sharif lauded the spirits of the soldiers and said that the military will rid the country from terrorism. The army chief paid a tribute to the martyrs and the injured Pakistan Army officers and said that the forces have given tremendous sacrifices for the country.

He announced that the military will recruit 14,000 soldiers from Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA). He further said that a thousand soldiers will be recruited from the tribal areas of the country in the next months.

General Raheel Sharif also said that 1500 children from FATA will be provide free school and college education in the military cantonments whereas seats have also been reserved for the students from FATA.

COAS further said that the youth from the tribal areas will be provided technical training by the military as well to make them an expert in the field.
