COAS visits Kotri Ranges, vows to defeat every threat to the country
KARACHI: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Raheel Sharif vowed to continue countering terrorism and every threat to the country in accordance with the aspirations of the people, ARY News reported.
Raheel Sharif visited the Kotri Ranges to witness Field Firing and Battle Inoculation Exercise of Karachi Corps on Wednesday.
Army Chief lauded the standard of training of the participating troops and praised their skills, precision and accuracy in engaging the targets. He said that arduous training and highest standard of preparedness in peacetime are the only guarantors of peace.
COAS said that getting command on modern technique and expertise in war preparations is necessary for every kind of military operation either traditional or non-traditional.
According to the statement issued by ISPR, these exercises are aimed at training troops in various tactical operations under battlefield environment.
Lieutenant General Sajjad Ghani, Corps Commander Karachi welcomed Chief of Army Staff on his arrival at Kotri.
