KARACHI: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif paid his maiden visit to Mazar-e-Quaid today after taking charge, ARY News reported Thursday.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), military’s public affairs wing, the COAS offered Fateha at Mazar-e-Quaid and laid floral wreath.
Gen. Sharif also inscribed his views in a visitors’ book at the Quaid’s mausoleum.
Strict security arrangements were in place during COAS’s visit to the mausoleum. The VVIP gate of the mausoleum had been closed for general visitors as part of a security arrangement.
