They say hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. Well, that seems to be the case as far as this matter is concerned.

Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan is one of the most sought-after actors in Bollywood. From playing superheroes to a charming lover, Hrithik has captured the hearts of countless women throughout the world. Using his suave persona and heartthrob image, Coca Cola had conducted a contest, promising to award the winner with a ‘romantic date’ with Roshan, 15 years ago.

A Chandigarh resident who goes by the name of Shikha Monga had won the contest, earning her the right to a date with none other than the Bollywood superstar. However, Coca Cola had refused to honour the promise and also not responded to letters written by Monga. Since the company failed to organize the date with Hrithik, the girl moved to the court to send a notice claiming a damage of Rs 2.5 crore.

Chandigarh district court has also exempted the woman’s court fee of Rs.2.43 lakh for the suit.

“It is duly proved on record that applicant is not possessed of sufficient means to pay the court fee and she is indigent and as a squeal thereto. The application is allowed to pursue with this suit being from a pauper/indigent person,” said the court order.

In the court notice, it has been mentioned that Coca Cola should give a reply by August 18. Also, Shikha mentioned the fact that she had spent her pocket money on purchasing numerous Coca Colas in order to win the competition. After she had won the contest, Coca Cola offered to provide her Rs 500,000 yet she wanted the date with Roshan instead.

“Everybody in college, friends and relatives used to ask me about my meeting and dinner with Hrithik. I lost my reputation and was labeled as a liar in the society and have no alternative but to file the suit for damages,” was mentioned in suit she had filed.
