The MQM and JI had submitted applications to the District Central, seeking permission for their rallies the same day on April 18 (Saturday).
Both the parties had planned to organize an election rally at Shahrah-e-Pakistan, near Al-Karam Square in Liaquatabad area.
According to ECP code of conduct, the political parties were supposed to submit application to the deputy commissioner concerned before three days.
The MQM had submitted the request two days before and JI a day ago, respectively.
Citing violation of the ECP code, the district administration rejected both the applications.
