Commission initiates inquiry into Hamid Mir attack
KARACHI: A three-member judicial commission started proceedings on Monday to inquire into the attack on private news channel's anchor Hamid Mir, ARY News reported.
Director General Rangers Sindh, home secretary, I.G. Police Sindh, Joint Director Intelligence Bureau and other officials reached at Supreme Court Karachi Registry to record their statements.
A three-judge judicial commission headed by Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali inquiring into the matter. Justice Ijaz Fazal Khan and Justice Iqbal Hameed-ur-Rehman are other members of the probe.
Muhammad Suleman and Faisal Aziz Khan came to the apex court's Karachi Registry to record statements on behalf of the Jang and Geo Group.
The inquiry commission holding in-camera hearing and the media has not been allowed to cover the proceedings.
