Commonwealth games will be played from July 23 to August 3 in Glasgow, Scotland.
The 62-member national squad will participate in badminton, boxing, gymnastics, shooting, swimming, table tennis, weightlifting and wrestling.
This is the first time that national game of Pakistan ‘Hockey’ is not included in commonwealth games.
Before this Pakistan had participated eleven times in the event claiming 24 gold medals overall out of 20 had been achieved in wrestling.
Pakistan’s athlete displayed most prominent performance in the year 1964 during which our national athlete won 8-gold medals.
