Constitution, Shariah not 2 different things, says Mufti Kifayatullah
RAWALPINDI: Jamiat Ulema Islam-Fazl (JUIF) leader, Mufti Kifayatullah Dehalvi while declaring Taliban's demand of implementing Shariah as justified, has said that the constitution and Shariah are not 2 different things – ARY News reports.
Addressing a news conference here, Mufti Kifayatullah said that the current constitution belongs to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, not to the Republic of Pakistan.
He added that the nation is looking forward to the success of talks between the Government and Taliban and it wants to hear some good news.
The JUIF official told that war, feud and violence can never resolve issues.
Kifayatullah told that a military offensive against the ones possessing National Identity Card (NIC) of Pakistan, can give rise to great tragedies, so the issues must be resolved through negotiations.
