ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Sunday said that constitutional amendments would help curb money laundering and other heinous crimes in the country, ARY News reported.
Prime Minister Imran Khan said that corrupts, in the past, plundered national wealth and laundered it abroad and later get back the money via front-men.
Talking to Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry, who called on him at his office today, PM Imran said that the chapter of money laundering would have been closed it former President Pervez Musharraf had not given NRO to sharif family.

He said that verdict in Hudaibiya Paper Mills case was used as model in all the money laundering cases. The prime minister directed Fawad Chaudhry to create awareness among the masses about harmful effects of money laundering on the national economy through media. PM Imran asked the information minister to show the masses real face of corrupts.
The prime minister lashed out at the former rulers and said that thy looted the national wealth and buried the country under heavy debt. He said that the former rulers will have to go through the accountability process for taking $60bn loan in last 10 years.
