PESHAWAR: A member of Taliban negotiating team has said that the consultations are underway for second round of direct talks with Taliban, ARY News reported on Tuesday.
Professor Ibrahim has said that the two sides are holding talks to fix time and place for the second phase of direct talks between the government and Tehreek e Taliban Pakistan.
He said the two sides will discuss release of prisoners, ceasefire and other matters. The members of Taliban and government committees will also be present during the direct talks with Taliban Shura, he further said.
Replying a question about resignation of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Shaukatullah Khan, Prof. Ibrahim said that he played a positive but limited role in the process of talks and the change will not affect the dialogue process.
