LAHORE: Punjab Information Minister Fayyaz ul Hassan Chohan on Tuesday said the first and last objective of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government was welfare of people and revival of economy of Pakistan, ARY News reported.

“Imran has set the conducts of running government affairs by Khulafa-e-Rashideen as a role model for his team and himself. Under which, we have to altruistically serve the masses to anchor the sinking economy of Pakistan,” he said while addressing media in Lahore.

He said honesty, capability and sense of responsibility were the three points, based on directives of Imran Khan, which the Punjab government would have on top of its agenda.

Fayyaz said Imran had told that unlike the previous governments, agenda of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)-led governments would not be personal gains.

He cited revival and rising again of Germany and Japan in every field, following catastrophe experienced during the world wars, as an example to be followed.

“Pakistan has foreign debts amounting to about $97 billion dollars, Pakistan’s exports have dropped by $19 billion in 10 years. 1000 billion dollar being money laundered a year from Pakistan. The country is facing 800 billion dollar money embezzlement a year,” the PTI leader said drawing a sketch of the economical situation.

He said all that was because of former rulers and elite class’ love for graft and money laundering, while, PM Imran has strictly barred us from doing any such thing.

The provincial information minister said the PTI chief had also stopped them from discussing anybody’s family matters.

He said the Punjab cabinet had taken oath of allegiance to the directions of the prime minister.
