Corps Commanders meet: COAS satisfied over military's preparations

RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Raheel Sharif chaired the Corps Commanders Conference here on Monday, while he also expressed his satisfaction over the professional preparations of the Pakistan Army – ARY News reports.

According to details, Army Chief, General Raheel Sharif chaired the Corps Commanders Conference at the General Head Quarters (GHQ).

During the conference, the top military commanders reviewed the overall security of the region and exchanged their views pertaining to the situation at Pak-Afghan border.

Sources told that the conference also discussed the affairs relating to peace talks between the Government and Taliban.

Army Chief, General Raheel Sharif informed the Corps Commanders about his recent visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The COAS also expressed his satisfaction over the professional preparations of the military.

The Corps Commanders Conference will remain continue tomorrow and the commanders will consider different cases regarding the officials of Brigadier rank to be promoted to the file of Major General.

Earlier on February 5, the COAS had met the Saudi Crown Prince and Minister of Defence, Salman Bin Abdulaziz.

The Pak-Army Chief had met his Saudi counterpart and other higher officials of the kingdom.

The Saudi Crown Prince had also awarded King Abdulaziz Al Saud Excellence Medal to General Raheel Sharif.
