Corruption charges: High-profile arrests made in Sindh
Qamar Siddiqui was apprehended by Rangers a couple of days for ‘facilitating terrorists’ and produced before the ATC today. The paramilitary force requested the court to grant 90 days’ custody of Siddiqui, which the ATC approved.
Sources told that the accused used to send ’70 percent of the money made from arms smuggling to Bilawal House’.
The chairman of Fish Harbor Society Nisar Morai is already on a run for past three months and reported to be outside the country.
Pakistan Rangers (Sindh) also found evidences of corruption in society affairs.
Meanwhile, National Accountability Bureau (NAB) arrested former town municipal officer (TMO) Sajawal Mumtaz Zardari, accused of corruption worth Rs 10 crore in public funds.
Zardari has reportedly named some other people involved with him.
In another instance, intelligence agencies (IAs) also nabbed a man named Muhammad Ali from Karachi airport on Thursday.
Muhammad Ali is said to be the ‘front man’ of an important figure of Sindh, who was trying to flee to the United States (U.S.) via Dubai.
