Country is passing through a critical phase: Asma Jahangir

LAHORE: Asma Jahangir, former President of Supreme Court Bar Association, has said that the country is passing through a critical period and the citizens should strengthen the hands of federal government against terrorism, ARY News reports on Saturday.

Speaking to media during the elections of Lahore High Court Bar Association, Asma Jahangir said that the law and order situation of the country has deteriorated. She added that those politicians supporting the peace talks are safe.

Asma Jahangir said that there is no need for a state that cannot protect its own people. She urged the masses to support the federal government in the present day situation.

While calling Taliban as beloved of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), she demanded a military operation against the militant group.
