Countrywide anti-polio drive to commence from March 24
ISLAMABAD: Countrywide anti-polio drive shall commence from March 24, whilst the Prime minister, Nawaz Sharif has said that the Government is determined to eradicate the crippling disease from Pakistan – ARY News reports.
According to details, officials of the Polio Task Force met the Prime Minister earlier today and briefed him about the action plan of the anti-polio drive that is to start from March 24.
On this occasion, Prime Minister expressed his determination that the Government will utilize all the resources in order to make Pakistan a polio-free state.
He directed the officials to strictly follow the proposed action plan of the campaign.
Moreover, polio vaccination campaign in Dera Ismail Khan came under attack on Tuesday as terrorists killed two policemen posted for security of the vaccination team.
Unknown terrorists targeted the cops when they were returning to their homes after performing their duties, killing the two on the spot.
