PESHAWAR: A local court handed three years sentence to a police officer in a case of disappearance of a man, ARY News reported on Friday.

Judicial Magistrate Peshawar Zafarullah after hearing arguments of the counsels of two sides awarded three years jail term to SHO Arshad Khan for disappearance of a man Khairur Rehman.

The counsel of SHO in his arguments said that Khairur Rehman went missing three years ago pleading that his client was innocent and not involved in the missing incident.  

He said that it is a maiden incident in the history of the country that a policeman has been arrested in a missing case.
