ISLAMABAD: An Accountability Court granted exemption to the former President Asif Ali Zardari from appearing in the hearing of the cases against him, ARY News reports.
The exemption to the former president has been granted by the court due to security concerns.
Zardari's lawyer Farooq H. Naek had filed a petition in the court that the former President could not appear in the hearing due to security concerns and requested the court to acquit him from all the cases filed against him.
The court, while granting immunity, remarked that the former President will be summoned in the court when needed.
