ISLAMABAD: A special court headed by Justice Faisal Arab has granted a plea of former president Pervez Musharraf for providing FIA report with regard to treason charges against Musharraf, ARY News reported on Thursday.

The court comprised of three high court judges hearing Article-VI case against Musharraf.

Musharraf's lawyers had pleaded to the court for providing FIA inquiry report with regard to charges against the former military ruler.

The special court ordered the prosecution for providing the Joint investigation team inquiry report and all relevant material to the defence side by May 14.

The court also ordered for providing the evidence collected during the investigation to the lawyers of Pervez Musharraf.

The bench directed the prosecution to give details of the statements of the witnesses to the defence lawyers, which were recorded during the investigation.

The court also informed the lawyers that the statements of the witnesses will be recorded from May 22nd.
