Court hears Article-VI case against Musharraf

ISLAMABAD: Former president Pervez Musharraf’s counsel completed his arguments over the defence’s plea for inclusion of the co-accused in Article-VI proceedings against the former military ruler, ARY News reported on Wednesday.

A three-judge special bench, headed by Justice Faisal Arab, is hearing the federation’s complaint against Musharraf for holding the 1973 Constitution in abeyance during proclamation of emergency in November 2007.

Barrister Farogh Naseem in his arguments said that all co-accused should be tried simultaneously.

The court adjourned the hearing till October 21st after completion of the arguments of the defence lawyer. Chief Prosecutor of the case Akram Shaikh will start his arguments in the next hearing.
