KARACHI: A sessions’ court in Malir has approved bail of detained FBI agent, who was arrested at Karachi airport two days ago, on Rs 1 million surety bond, ARY News reported Thursday.
The arrested FBI agent Jewel Cox was currently on a 4-day police remand till May 10, when the court approved his bail before two days of remand’s completion.
Jewel Cox was arrested two days ago from Jinnah International Airport for carrying bullets in his baggage. The US authorities further added that Cox was not armed during the flight. They confirmed that Cox was the FBI agent and he was deployed in Pakistan through Miami field office.
Sources said the police report did not identify the FBI agent’s involvement in any suspicious activity.
Cox was arrested while carrying bullets for 9-MM pistol, a magazine and spying tools including pen-camera. His personal goods were started to being shifted from Artillery Police Station, where Cox was imprisoned.
