Court sends Gullu Butt to jail on judicial remand

Police had produced Gullu Butt in court today.

The court also ordered the police to submit its investigation report in the next hearing of the case.

Police had produced Gullu Butt before the court after completion of 11 days physical remand of the accused.

Police informed the court that it has completed interrogation of accused Gullu Butt after which ATC Judge Khalid Mehmood Ranjha sent the accused to jail on judicial remand.

The court extended interim bail of SP Security Ali Salman till July 26th.

The ATC Judge also extended physical remand of five accused policemen SHO Amir Saleem, ASI Hafiz Azhar and constables Kashif, Naveed and Khurram till July 26th.

Gullu Butt was caught smashing cars on June 17 during the clashes between Pakistan Awami Tehreek workers and the police outside the Minhajul Quran Secretariat in Model Town. At least 14 workers of PAT were reportedly killed in the firing incident.

Butt smashed windscreens and windows of cars and other vehicles with his club without interference as the police officials looked on as spectators.

The accused will be presented again in the court after two weeks.
