Lahore: Court sentences two men to two years in rape case
LAHORE: A court on Tuesday sentenced two men to two years in jail for raping a 15-year-old girl in Lahore, ARY News reported.
Hearing the rape case, the child court Judge Muhammad Akhtar Bhangoo fined them Rs500,000 each and directed to submit the amount in the victim’s bank account.
Beside awarding sentences to the culprits, the judge also fined their guardians Rs100,000 each.
Earlier, a raid conducted by ARY News’ Sar-e-Aam team along with officials from Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) cyber crime cell led to the arrest of a middle-aged man who raped several minor girls and filmed the assaults to blackmail their families.
As shown in January 18’s Sar-e-Aam show, the 45-year-old man named Saleem, a resident of Lahore’s Badamibagh area, was arrested after Sar-e-Aam team knew about his criminal activities through an informer.
