ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Monday said China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is an integral part of China’s One Belt, One Road (OBOR) vision.
“OBOR is a testimony of visionary leadership of China and attracting the entire world,” he said while talking to media persons on board.
China’s OBOR initiative has six proposed corridors and China Pakistan Economic Corridor is termed as the most important corridor among them. This corridor is about securing China’s trade routes and allowing it to position itself in the Arabian Sea. Aim of OBOR is to reach out to global markets through shorter routes.
The prime minister said that CPEC is an unprecedented project of history. He said network of highways and motorways is being laid across the country related to the ‘flagship’ project.

He said journey of development is underway from Quetta to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and we should give value to economic development in the country.
The premier said that Pakistan Stock Exchange is at its highest level first time in the history and huge investment is being made in Pakistan.
Nawaz said peace is key to developments of countries and without peace and tranquility development is impossible.
He said that all ongoing projects including motorways will bring revolution in the country.
