Microsoft has announced that the full motion video crime thriller “Late Shift” will be released on XBox One in April.
Ben Tester, PR and Community Manager at Wales Interactive made the announcement in a blogspot. It is developed by CtrlMovie and published by Wales Interactive and is shot in full high-definition across London.
Late Shift is described as a “high stakes” cinematic FMV crime thriller with branching story lines and multiple endings that follows the exploits of student named Matt.
After being forced into the robbery of a lucrative auction house, Matt is left proving his innocence in the brutal London heist. The consequences of his actions take him on a vicious and violent journey across the capital.
Written by Michael R. Johnson, author of Guy Ritchie’s 2009 film Sherlock Holmes and directed by Tobias Weber, Late Shift is a blend of movie, game and interactive storytelling.
Gamers can experience a gripping crime thriller with over 180 decision points and will have just seconds to decide as the film continues to roll with no pauses and no looping footage.
This has been called a choose-your-own-adventure style of gameplay where gamer decision has consequences and will change the entire story line leading to one of seven endings.
