ISLAMABAD: Special Court hearing treason charges against former president Pervez Musharraf on Friday declared that the court could apply the criminal procedure code if needed, ARY News reported.

A three-judges bench headed by Justice Faisal Arab in its verdict over the applicability of the criminal procedure code in treason case against Pervez Musharraf announced that the criminal laws will be applicable in the case if needed. 

The lawyers of prosecution and defence earlier concluded their arguments over applicability of criminal laws in treason case against the former military ruler. 

The court had reserved its verdict over the matter of applicability of criminal laws on January 07.
