Curfew relaxed in NWA to let IDPs evacuate

BANNU: Authorities for the sake of facilitating the operation affectees, have relaxed curfew in North Waziristan Agency (NWA) for three days, while the internally displaced persons (IDPs) upon their arrival in Bannu demanded extension in time limit for the evacuating the troubled agency – ARY News reports.

According to details, mass migration by the locals is underway, in the wake of ongoing Zarb-e-Azb operation in North Waziristan and long queues of vehicles have been formed on roads.

Political administration of NWA has told that curfew has been relaxed on Miranshah Road and the affected people are advised to move to safer places within three days.

The migrants have demanded the Government to extend limit for evacuating the area. They said that transporters have increased the fares.

Political administration has advised the residents of Mirali and Razmak to evacuate today, while tribes of Ghulam Shah and Miranshah are directed to move away by tomorrow.

Residents of Boya and Datta Khel will migrate on June 20.

It was further told that the IDPs from North Waziristan will be registered at Khajoori and Eesa check posts in Bannu.
