CWG 2014: Two Indian officials arrested in Glasgow

GLASGOW: Two Indian officials representing Indian delegation for Common Wealth Games (CMG) 2014 have been arrested in Glasgow for breaching code of conduct, ARY News has learnt.

At one side Indian athletes performed well acquiring good number of medals and finished fifth but on the other hand two Indian officials were arrested for separate charges.

The news comes via Indian media that Indian Olympic Association (IOA) general secretary Rajiv Mehta was arrested for alleged drunken driving while wrestling referee Virender Malik for alleged sexual assault.

As per reports, the two arrested officials will remain in police custody over the weekend, and will be produced before a Glasgow magistrate on Monday.
