DERA ISMAIL KHAN: A suspect of the Dera Ismail Khan central jail attack named Hikmatullah was gunned down in an encounter on Sunday (today) at Tehsil Kolachi, ARY News reports.
According to Police, Hikmatullah opened fire at the law enforcing agencies (LEAs) when they carried out a raid for his arrest.
Hikmatullah was wanted by the LEAs for the attack on D.I. Khan Central Jail in 2013.
He was killed on the spot by the retaliatory fire. An injured police oficer was shifted to District Headquarters Hospital where he is being treated.
