Daesh behind deadly Safoora bus attack, says IG Sindh
Militants targeted a bus carrying Ismaili community members in Karachi and killed 47 of them including women and children on May 13 this year.
He divulged this while briefing a meeting of the Standing Committee on Interior.
The IGP said a good number of high-profile murder cases including those of Parveen Rehman and Abbas Kumaili’s son.
He said suspects of Safoora attack had been getting instructions from one Abdul Aziz in Syria.
He informed that half-a-dozen laptops were also recovered from the suspects, which would help find important clues to the attack.
Any facilitator or doctor who had treated injured Afghan nationals in Karachi was also dealt with iron hands by the police, he added.
