ISLAMABAD: Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar called on presidents of Chambers and representatives of business community in Islamabad on Tuesday to discuss their budget related proposals, ARY News reported.
The Minister assured to consider joint budget proposal from different chambers of the country including Karachi Chamber in the upcoming budget of 2014-15.
Ishaq Dar said that after discussing their proposals with Chairman Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) government will give a serious consideration to their proposals before finalizing budget. He said that the Government believes in consulting all stakeholders in the process of budget making.
On the occasion presidents of different chambers including Abdullah Zaki, President Karachi Chamber were present.
The chamber representatives discussed in detail their issues and recommendations. They suggested to clear sales tax refund of Rs.2 million and urged to bring the sales tax in single digit within coming three years.
