Dar says Chinese president’s visit to set new milestone

ISLAMABAD: Chinese Ambassador Sun Weidong on Sunday met Finance Minister Ishaq Dar in Islamabad and discussed preparations for the forthcoming visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping to Pakistan.

The Chinese Envoy appreciated establishment of special committee by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to look after all the arrangements of the visit. He said this step demonstrated the level of importance that the government attached to this visit.

The Finance Minister said that the whole Pakistani nation looked forward to receiving the great Chinese leader and this visit would serve as a new milestone in Pak-China relationship.

The Minister on the occasion apprised the Chinese Ambassador about the resolution on Yemen passed by the national assembly, which also carried special gratitude to China for helping out stranded Pakistanis in Yemen.
