Dasti alleges liquor worth Rs 40m being supplied to Parliament

ISLAMABAD:  Member National Assembly, Jamshed Dasti, on Thursday surprised the house, by stating that liquor worth Rs 40 to 50 million is being brought to parliament, ARY News reported.

During his speech in the National Assembly, Dasti uttered that footages of all goings-on in the parliament lodges was also available. He went on to say that parliament didn’t resolve problems of people, rather there were ‘dance gatherings’ taking place.

Right after these allegations, other parliamentarians started staring at each other in shock. Parliamentary Secretary Rajab Ali Baloch rose and asked that why all the parliamentarians were being blamed if there was any individual act.                                               

Speaker Ayaz Sadiq said inquiry would be held into allegations. “If proved, the responsible elements will be punished and if unproven, the house will decide punishment of Jamshed Dasti,” observed the Speaker.
