ISLAMABAD: Chief of Jamiat-e-Ulema Islam-S (JUI-S) , Maulana Sami-ul-Haq, has said the deadlock between government and Taliban will soon end, ARY News reported on Friday.
The spokesman of Taliban-nominated committee for peace talks, Maulana Yousuf Shah and Maulana Samiul Haq had a telephonic contact today.
During the conversation, Maulana Sami said he would further pursue the matter upon his return from Umrah.
Earlier on February 17, Taliban-nominated committee said a deadlock had been created between their and government’s committee in peace talks, following the slaying of FC men in Mohmand Agency.
They also appealed the Taliban and the government to refrain from any offensive.
In a press conference, Maulana Yousuf Shah regretted the refusal of government committee member, Irfan Siddiqui for holding a meeting. He said prime minister should listen to both the committees for reaching a proper decision.
