Democracy, constitution will not be harmed: Imran assures Siraj

LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) chairman, Imran Khan has assured the ameer of Jamat e Islami (JI), Siraj ul Haq of a peaceful long march on August 14 and that neither democracy nor the constitution will be harmed, ARY News reported.

According to details, Imran Khan met Siraj ul Haq here on Monday and ensured him that a peaceful long march on August 14 and not to take any non-democratic step.

On this occasion, the JI chief urged the government not to obstruct road to prevent PTI’s long march and acquire a democratic attitude.

Later while talking to media, Siraj told he has invited all the political parties to resolve the issue with decency and has warned them that if any mishap takes place on August 14, then nobody, but the country will be harmed by it.

He said that everybody has the right of peaceful protest, but the state and the constitution must not be ill-treated.
