Democracy not threatened by any protest: Pervez Rasheed

LAHORE: Federal Information Minister Pervez Rasheed has said that democracy is not being threatened by any protest, ARY News reports.

Speaking to media after attending a function at Punjab University in Lahore, Pervez Rasheed said that democracy has become a threat to the supporters of dictatorship. He added that no one can threaten democracy through any protest.

Rasheed said that no society can be educated unless the difference of opinion is accepted and freedom of expression is necessary. 

Information Minister, while commenting on the Geo/ISI confrontation, said that its not a problem if the case is being shifted to another institution from Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) for legal opinion. He also said that the decision will be made according to the law.
