LAHORE: Various roads were closed on Tuesday due to poor visibility caused by the dense fog that engulfed parts of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Motorway police spokesperson relayed that the national highway section between Bahawalpur and Tarinda Muhammad was closed for traffic due to 0-50 meter visibility.
The travel advisory issued by the police requested drivers to use fog lights while travelling on highways and motorways.
Traffic was suspended on the national highway near Kashmore district in Sindh as well.
The fog also tripped some units of the Guddu Power Plant, suspending electricity supply to Kashmore, Jacobabad and several parts of Balochistan and Punjab.
Officials of the power plant said electricity supply to these areas will be restored once the fog clears out.
