Despite protests, ‘PK’ set to break various Box Office records

TOP NEWS

According to Indian media reports, ‘PK’ has garnered almost Rs 557 crore worldwide within just two weeks of its release and is all set to cross the Rs 600 crore mark. If it does so, it will be the first ever Bollywood film to do so.

Moreover, the performance of the movie in the domestic market has also been exemplary. Film critic Taran Adarsh took to Twitter to share the information on the collections. ‘PK’ has now collected more than Rs 293 crore nationally and will soon cross Rs 300 crore.

It will then become the first ever movie to do such business. This is Aamir Khan’s third movie, which is setting benchmarks pretty difficult for others to even touch. His earlier release with Rajkumar Hirani ‘3 Idiots’ was the first to cross Rs 200 crore mark and ‘Ghajini’ with A Murugadoss the Rs 100 crore mark, both nationally.

‘PK’ is also set to cross $ 10 mn in USA-Canada region.

Released on December 19, ‘PK’ ran into controversy when numerous Hindu religious groups accused the movie to be anti-Hindu and hence, demanded a ban on it.
