TOP NEWS

KARACHI: Director General Rangers Sindh Maj. Gen. Rizwan Akhtar on Wednesday divulged before the media that he had no powers more than snap-checking and arresting, ARY News reported.

Talking to media here, DG Rangers said law and order in Karachi couldn’t get improved until we spoke truth.

He said all problems could be solved if institutions work strongly. Maj. Rizwan said Karachi was a financial hub of Pakistan and steps were being taken to address all its issues.

He regretted that Rangers powers were only circumscribed to checking and arresting.

He went on to say that Rangers personnel often tend to do work, which is not under their domain.
