KARACHI: Director General Rangers (DG Rangers) Major General Rizwan Akhtar has formed a special task force that will look into the rising extortion and kidnapping cases in Karachi, ARY News reports.
Specially trained Rangers personnel alongwith City Police Liasion Committee’s (CPLC) Najeeb Danawala and F.B. Area Association of Trade and Industry’s Idrees Gigi will be a part of the task force.
Idrees Gigi said that the industrialists and traders should inform the force at once if they receive any threats of extortion or kidnapping so the culprits could be apprehended.
