During his visit, the DG Rangers directed personnel to ensure fool-proof security measures at polling stations on Thursday.
Major Akbar avoided media interaction during his visit. When journalists clustered around him, the DG Rangers said he would talk to the media after the election process concludes peacefully tomorrow.
Under the security arrangements, Rangers personnel will be deployed at each polling station in the constituency. While CCTV monitoring will also be carried out to ensure security of polling stations and voters.
