DG-Rangers briefed the interior minister over the situation of Karachi.
Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan also contacted with Chief Minister of Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah on telephone and discussed the law and order situation in the province.
Some 23 workers of the MQM were arrested in a raid carried out by Sindh Rangers at the party’s office in Gulshan-i-Maymar. Eight detained MQM workers later released after initial questioning and still 15 party workers have been in detention.
Earlier, Governor of Sindh Dr. Ishratul Ebad had talked with Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar and DG-Rangers Sindh Maj. General Bilal Akbar over the Rangers’ raid at the party’s officer and arrest of the party workers.
