RAWALPINDI: Chief of Jamiat Ulema Islam-Fazl (JUIF), Maulana Fazlur Rahman has clarified that his party's differences with the Government do not mean that it is intended to roll-back democracy in the state – ARY News reports.

Addressing a press conference here on Thursday, Maulana Fazlur Rahman said that differences with the Government are there, yet he wants the democracy to be continued in the state. He clarified that JUIF will not support mid-term elections, as desired by some political parties.

Criticizing the PTI Chairman, Fazl said that Imran Khan is campaigning against rigging, just because why did not this rigging favor him in the last elections.

Speaking about Altaf Hussain, Maulana Fazlur Rahman said that if the MQM Chief was to return to the country, then why did he remain outside for so long, however he said that issuing a passport to Altaf Hussain is a legal matter, if the law permits, he should be issued passport.
