Discrimination against Muhajirs should be ended, says Altaf Hussain

He said a series of conspiracies against Muhajirs were started with the assassination of Rana Liaquat Ali Khan, the first Prime Minister of Pakistan adding that Muhajirs were removed from their posts in every rule either Military or Civil.

Addressing to general workers meeting held on Saturday night at Lal Qila ground, Altaf Hussain said thousands of MQM workers have gathered to pray for the support of Almighty Allah.

Altaf Hussain announced that MQM will soon conduct a countrywide protest demanding fundamental rights of the citizens and to wipeout feudal system from the country.

He regretted that feudal system is still present in the country despite of several Martial Laws.

MQM Chief asked the reason due to which the quota system enforced in 1973 for 10 years by Zulfiqar Ali Mirza is still implemented till date.

He added that quota system should be discontinued so that underdeveloped people belonging to rural areas can have a chance to grow.

Criticizing Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), Altaf Hussain said PPP did not develop Sindh despite having their government for long time adding.

Speaking about demand of making new provinces, MQM Chief said he sees Sindh as his mother.

“We don’t want to divide Sindh rather we are asking for administrative division and it can be named at North Sindh, South Sindh, East Sindh and West Sindh”, said Altaf Hussain.

MQM Chief said his party believes in talks and always avoid fight, as matters can only be resolved via dialogues not with clash.
